Wolf Cubs

Wolf Cubs is the program for boys in the second grade.

Official BSA image, AkelaWhen a boy joins the second grade he is ready to HOWWWLLLLL! It's these excited youngsters who become Wolf Cub Scouts. Wolves must first earn the Bobcat Badge. After that they are free to wander the scouting trail.

The wolf badge is the next, very big step. There are 12 achievements that must be accomplished by the boy and OK'd by a parent. They're not too difficult, in fact they're just right to help develop young men.

And that is only the beginning of all the excitement! A wolf also has over 100 electives that he can complete, if he chooses. These electives fall into 28 topic areas. Electives completed go towards arrow points, after a boy has earned his Wolf badge. The first 10 complete electives earns him his Gold Arrow Point, and each subsequent 10 accomplishments earns him a Silver Arrow Point. A boy can only earn one Gold Arrow Point in each rank, but there is no limit to how many Silver Arrow Points he may earn.
